I’ve had an awesome April Fools day! I pulled plenty of pranks and had quite a few played on myself. It’s just my luck that I was in charge of cooking breakfast, there were plenty of prank opportunities in that! Here’s a list of all the pranks I did (and a few pictures):
- Dyeing the milk pink, blue, and yellow. (We were out of green food coloring)
- Adding lemon juice to the orange juice (unfortunately they are so similar that it didn’t make much of a difference, I’ll try a different juice next year)
- Making Salt Cinnamon Toast (simply use salt instead of sugar)
- Switching the cereal bags in the cereal boxes.
- I was also going to make multi-colored eggs, but by that time my dad had banned me from the kitchen for the day. Oh well.
- I stuck a fair share of pinch me signs on people’s backs
- I also sent an email to my friends about how I was going to be moving back to the US (I live in Japan).
I also did a few other things, but they’ve slipped my mind right now. Anyway, here are some of the pranks that were pulled on me:
- My dad had just barely come home from a business trip to Singapore during the week end, and on April 1st morning he told us that his work needed him back in Singapore as soon as possible and that he’d have to stay for two weeks. He had his suitcase and everything all ready and it was pretty believable. Unfortunately at the last second before he was going to leave out the door, my mom got suspicious and we found out it was just a prank.
- My sister came out of her room crying and told my mom that she had broken a small glass vase in her room when she was changing the flowers. She really was crying and she even had some cuts on her hand (don’t worry, she didn’t put them there for the prank, they were already there). Anyway, then she was all “April Fools!” and we were all “Ah! Oh brother!”
- My little brother toilet papered my room.
- My little sister stuck a whole bunch of stuff under my bed sheet in revenge for the salt cinnamon toast.
- My dad mixed up a whole bunch of my colored milk and poured it on my cereal (it wasn’t too bad, the milk ended up a nice raspberry purple color).
- I also had plenty of “pinch me” signs put on my back.
And that’s all I remember for now.
Oh yes, Happy Belated Scroomsawikken to Guardians of Ga’hoole fans. My post about it is right here: http://sarahdragonwriter.blogspot.jp/2014/03/girls-day-moon-festival-st-patricks-day.html
Also, Happy Birthday to Fred and George! (April 1st)
